Description

T1 mature oak. Cavity from stem c.2m north to crown break. Open cavity at branch break. One scaffold limb has previously failed around 2021. Decay / wound extends from stem into remaining scaffold limb. Potential to impact property, gardens and alleyway. Crown has been previously reduced. Recommend crown reduction of 4 metres and installation of 8 tonne dynamic bracing system. Works to be completed by cherry picker If possible the crown reduction should be completed with the use of a cherry picker to ensure inner crown growth is not damaged or removed. If it is not possible to use a cherry picker due to access restrictions, the climber should take care not to remove inner crown growth and limit damage to the inner crown whilst undertaking works.Care to be taken when completing works to ensure inner crown is not damaged / thinned.
