Application Details
Description
The application: T1 - A large Weeping Ash (Fraxinus Excelsior 'Pendula') which has perished, located in the center of the garden. The ash threatens a neighboring Hazel T2 (Corylus Avellana) and is dropping substantial dead wood in strong winds. Many of the branches were also victim to squirrel damage prior to the tree dying. The owner of the tree is concerned with the instability and unpredictability of its now dead extremities especially due to the tree's central position in the garden.I have advised to monolith, rather than fell, as after inspection I didn't notice any rot or decay around the base, nor anything else that may compromise the integrity of the lower trunk; safe to monolith for habitat.
