When standing in the property at 16 Tongdean road and facing the rear garden the tree is located in the far left corner next to the fence at the boundary with 14 Tongdean road.MotivationThe tree has not been pruned in the last 10 years (last planning ref BH2014/02198, 02 Jul 2014) and has grown to the extent that it significantly blocks light in the property at 14 Tongdean road and massively overshadows the garden.Proposed worksThe proposed works will only affect the branches overhanging the garden at 14 Tongdean road.The proposal is to raise the canopy by 4 m from ground level back to suitable growth points. Then prune back branches overhanging the boundary by no more than 4m back to suitable growth points.
