Description

Area 1 is a small block of deciduous trees It is proposed to thin back to the better stems removing no more than 25% of the trees, enabling the remainder to develop Area 2 is a small block of trees on the western boundary of the site, again planted 15 - 20 years ago. Some historical thinning has been carried out and it is propsed to further thin this area back to the better stems removing no more than 25% of the stems. Area 3 is an avenue of poplar trees linking Areas 1 and 2. The planting density is high and the trees are showing signs of drought stress from summer 2022 and it is proposed to remove the weaker stems, approximately 20% of the total number to allow more space for the remaining trees. T1 and T2 are two beech stems which look to have been part of an earlier planted hedge but have developed into trees. They are approximately 18m high with poorly developed crowns resulting fron the canopy of a mature lime that they have ascended through. It is propsed to remove these trees.
