Description

Notice of intent to carry out works to trees in a Conservation Area:1. Undertaking of certain immediate works recommended in the Arboricultural Report and listed in Table 3 on page 14 of the Report.Specifically (using the numbering on Site Plan 1):a) T004 and T005 (mountain ash) - Reduction of height and lateral spread of crown by approximately 1.0-1.5m.b) G001 (group of Portuguese laurel) - Prune crown to provide approximately 0.5m clearance from boundary wall. See below for further work to this group.c) T022 (common hawthorn) - reduction of height and lateral spread by 0.5m.3. Undertaking of further works to trees mentioned in the Arborculturalist Report. Specifically (using the numbering on Site Plan 1):a) G001 (group pf Portuguese laurel) - removal of three plants within 0.5m of the north/south wall and reduce height of remaining plants so that they are no taller than the wall (approximately 2m high). This is to avoid damage to the wall and to provide space for remaining Portuguese laurel plants, including some younger trees in the group.b) T021 (common ash) - lift crown and shape lower limbs by up to 1.5m. This is to reduce overshadowing of adjacent flowering cherry tree and adjacent mixed native hedgerow.4. Undertaking of works to other trees within the Conservation Area as part of general tree management. These are trees outside thescope of the Arboricultural Report. Specifically (using the numbering on Site Plan 2):a) T101 (white willow) - lift crown; reduction by up to 3.0m of four limbs growing over the southern boundary fence; and pull to shape.These limbs overhang the adjacent Glebe land which is in public use (particularly by dog walkers and children attending activities in theChurch Hall).b) T102 (London plane) - lower crown lift and reduction of lower limbs growing over the pond by up to 2.5m.c) T103 (weeping willow) - removal of dead wood above garden paths.d) T104 (goat willow) - removal of dead wood above garden.Section 2 With
