Notice of intent to carry out works to trees protected by Tree Preservation Order TPO: 16/13Oak tree:1. Selective Branch Removal: Careful consideration should be given to the selection of branches for removal. Dead, damaged, or diseased branches should be prioritized, followed by any branches causing immediate interference with structures or obstructing desired views. The removal of healthy branches should be minimized to the extent possible to preserve the tree's natural form.4. Pruning Techniques: The crown lifting process should employ appropriate pruning techniques, such as drop-crotch or natural target pruning, to minimize the potential for bark tearing, branch damage, or disease introduction. The cuts should be made just outside the branch collar or bark ridge, following industry best practices for pruning TPO-protected trees.
