Description

Upcoming towpath improvement works are proposed along this stretch in the interest of health and safety. In order to facilitate these works, there is a requirement to crown lift the adjacent tree canopy to 3 m on the eastern aspect, where they overhang the towpath. This is in order to allow for safe plant movement below. The tree species largely comprise of ash, sycamore, hawthorn, elder and holly. Photographs and indicative central W3W locations of areas of affected trees are provided below.The trees are within the Leeds Liverpool Canal Conservation area and therefore consent for the works is required from Bradford Council.The works will be undertaken outside of the nesting bird season.
