Description
Retrospective application - Oak tree - The tree was damaged either in high winds or by passing heavy goods vehicles. I was advised that immediate work should be carried out on the tree in order to prevent harm to the public walking along the footpath and also road users if the branch was the fully snap off and fall into the path of pedestrians/road users. The branch that was removed was 12ft from floor level, the branch was 20cm wide and had to be completely removed. The stump of the branch remains attached to the tree. The tree surgeon removed the branch from where it was broken and did not take anymore from the tree that was necessary.
