Description

T1 Horse chestnut - Fell. Consider leaving a standing main stem as a monolith at 3 to 4 metres for ecological purposes. Replace tree with a small growing species (see report and the following for examples). A small growing new tree may be planted in line with T1 and T2 whilst allowing T2 to continue growing naturally.Some examples to consider, Betula pendula Youngii, Cornus mas, Cotinus coggygria, Crataegus x prunifolia, Parrotia persica, Prunus species and Sorbus aucuparia (various species/varieties).
