Description

Some of the larger branches in each of the 4 trees have splits along the length of the branch of 1/2 to 3/4 m in each case. We propose to remove these branches as they are in danger of falling.Crown reduction - To leave each tree with approximately the same height and spread as tree 1 and in keeping with the shape of a Willow tree, approximately 25m x 25m.Crown thinning - by about 25% to also reduce the weight on the remaining branches and to allow more light to the lower crown and river bank foliage.Crown lifting - this will be minimal and only involve removing dead branches located in the lower crown.We will place all cut wood around the perimeter of the field to provide habitats.
