Description

T1-Silver Birch: Undertake an upper crown reduction of no more than 1.25m from the tips inwards on all upper scafford branches only. Ensuring that all cuts are brought back to viable growth points and that no pruning wounds exceed 50mm in diameter. T1 trifurcates at 1m from ground level. By reducing the sail area above these unions it will reduce the forces acting upon then which in turn will reduce the risk of catastrophic failure. This work will not affect the amenity value this tree is providing to the local street scene nor will it have a negative affect on the tree physiologically.
