Description

T1-HOLM OAK : Remove the lowest primary branch growing towards the service pole. Remove the x2 lowest branches growing towards No.85. Raise the crown to no more than 5m from ground level in order to faciliate basic garden maintenance. Undertake a crown reduction on all upper scaffold branches of no more than 1.2m and a lateral branch reduction of no more than 1m from the tips inwards. Ensuring that all cuts are brought back to viable growth points and that no pruning wounds exceed 40mm in diameter. This work will target all over extended sections of foliage allowing for a more balanced tree which will reduce sail area and the associated forces within the main branch junctions.
