Application Details
Description
T52 Beech. Prune: Reduce o/ex branch E canopy by not more than 3.5m/not less than 6m measured out from stem BTSPP. Reason: Management. This 9.5m long branch is over-extended. The modest reduction of this single branch to not less than 6m will have little, if any, appreciable adverse effect on either tree health or amenity, but will make a difference to windloading and its rotational effect on the stem. T104 Sycamore. Prune: 1. Remove 1st lateral branch ascending east back to the parent stem. Reason: Management. Removal of this single branch is necessary to clear overhead tele-cables and resolve problems with intermittent internet function. 2. Canopy reduction pruning to a height of not less than 7.5m and radial spread of not less than 3m in any one direction measured out from the stem back to suitable pruning points (BTSPP). Reason: Tree is a lapsed pollard in obvious decline and appears moribund. These works will create a smaller, compact canopy appropriate to limited available root system resources, to which it is anticipated the tree will respond favourably.
