Description

English Oak (F3.08) located on the 3rd fairway on Canford School Golf Course requires the following recommendation: Reduce the remaining portion of historic failure by 4-5m. Main stem forks at halfway and after 3m forks again. One side has fallen out previously and some healing can be seen from the ground. The remaining stem emanates to the North with 1/2 of original holding wood in place supporting 9m of 500mm width stem wood. The southern side 2-3m up limb has a 3m lateral split from the fork up. The stem continues to 3/4 of trees height. Daylight can be seen through the split. Recommended 3m reduction on Southern portion and thin on eastern portion. Any more would expose western the stem.
