Application Details
Description
T1 - Monterey Cypress: The lowest SW primary branch protrudes outside the canopy line, has a small wound on the tension side of the branch and has become over-extended. Minor pruning will reduce likelihood of failure as well as managing encroachment to house which is currently less than 2m away. - Reduce lowest SW primary branch by approximately 2m leaving a natural looking canopy line. No cuts shall exceed 8cm and are limited to secondary and tertiary branches only. - Remove dead stubs over service wire (W). - Remove 2x small broken branches over greenhouse (NW). The NE, E & SE aspect of lower canopy also extend beyond the canopy-line and have become over extended. The branch formation delivering this aspect of lower canopy contains a number of poorly formed features such as included unions, bark wounds and partial branch failure. Minor pruning will reduce the likelihood of future failures from the NE, E & SE aspect. - Reduce NE, E & SE aspect of lower canopy only by approximately 2m, leaving a natural looking canopy line. T2 - Scots Pine: Requires general maintenance. - Reduce 1st primary branch over driveway by approximately 1.5m to reduce level arm effect and encourage better form (apical dominance for other leader). No cuts shall exceed 8cm and are limited to secondary and tertiary branches only. - Lift lower branches over driveway and pavement to 2.3m.
