Description
Complete removal of two (2) acacia sp trees identified on the attached plans as A1 and A2. These two trees are located close to the western boundary of our garden and are located to the southwest of our house. These two trees have grown substantially over the past 20 years and now cast a large amount of shade and debris to our pool area and also shade and debris to our neighbours at 2 Dover Close. These two tree specimens are not in good condition and are brittle and prone to losing significant branches in high winds. One of the trees, A2, appears to be dying back from the crown. The two acacia trees are growing close to, and competing with, two Scots pines, P1 and P2, in our garden which cannot be enjoyed fully because of the proximity of the acacias. There are also other pines and silver birch trees growing in the area, both in our garden and in the garden of 2 Dover Close, which together make up the tree scape that is enjoyed by all the residents of Dover Road and anyone walking in Dover Road. Removal of the two acacia trees would not impact greatly on the overall tree scape as they can barely be seen from Dover Road unless viewed directly up our drive. The removal of the two acacias would greatly improve the light to our pool area. This would also allow for replanting of tree species at other locations within our garden and species more in keeping with the local flora such as more Scot's pine, maritime pine, birch, oak or beech. Obviously happy to be advised by the Council on the replanting.
