Description
T1 x1 London Plane Tree. Fell Located on boundary of 32 in side/back garden, significantly overhanging number 34. I wish to remove the tree and replace with a smaller tree that can be controlled. This is effectively a park tree with a height of 60+ feet and is defined a "large tree " according to the Internet, roots are very significant and are breaking the top of the lawn. There continues to be a large number of smaller branches that fall from the tree regularly and we have a real concern that at sometime a large branch will fall on ourselves, our neighbour, a pedestrian or a car as the tree spans the path and the road. The leaves are also a hazard, especially in the winter or after it has rained, as they become very slippery on the path. I estimate the height of the tree to be in the range of 60-65 feet with 1 branch alone that crosses the road to be 31 feet (this is an accurate measure). The branch across the road is frequently hit by lorries that use the road. I have in the past requested the removal of the tree, obviously the tree is now larger. We wish to use the side garden more, following some recent work on the house, but the ground surrounding the tree is full off moss and is unusable. The tree significantly effects the light into our neighbours bungalow and our neighbour is fully supportive of the tree's removal.
