Description
A semi-mature ash tree (within the Freefolk Conservation ARea) is situated alongside the London Road (NGR SU 48243 48545). The ash been flagged as a hazard by Highways. The tree isn't the responsibility of highways and belongs to The Piscatorial Society. The Society would like the tree to be removed as per highways recomendations.Previously a large codiminant limb has torn out onto the road and the ash tree is showing ealry signs of dieback. A large over extended lateral (also codominant) is also of particualr concern as it is over the road and regularly being clipped by HGVs and buses. With perimission we would like to dismantle the tree to ground level. The works will require a lane closure and temporary traffic ligths in order to facilitate the use of MEWP and chipper. We are in the process of obtating license for lane closure.
