The tree is a semi mature cherry that has been pruned and shaped as part of the formal garden at Preston House. It has been managed in such a way that it is only 3m in height but has a crown spread of approximately 3m from the stem all round.The tree has been in poor health for the last two summer seasons with bark bleeding and early senescence.It is proposed to remove the tree to ground level and replace with something similar in the next available planting season after felling.
