Our old apple tree is situated in the centre of our garden in a solitary position; sketch not required as it is very clear to see.Despite professional attempts to save the tree in early 2020, the tree has very visibly died and its position in our garden where children play is now creating a safety concern.We wish to apply to have the tree felled.We do not plan to replant in the same position as we were advised the reason for the problem was a fungus within the ground, and we already have several other trees in our garden.
