Description

T1 Crack Willow - Pollard tree at 8 metres from ground level.The tree in question is a lapsed pollard with the pervious pollard point located approximately 0.5 metres above ground level. The structure of the tree has resulted in multiple tight unions with limited reaction growth at the points of attachment. This presents a significant structural concern, particularly under loading, as there is an increased risk of main union failure. Given the species, which responds well to heavy reduction and re-pollarding, it is appropriate and necessary to carry out a substantial reduction. This will significantly reduce biomechanical stress on the unions and prolong the safe retention of the tree.
