All trees are located within a primary school grounds. The works specified follow a Tree Survey designed to remove health and safety risks and promote essential good practice maintenance. T11 - Prunus: Observations: This prunus has a long vertical cavity from 50cm - 350cm - presents H&S riskRecommendations: Fell to 2 metres. T12 - Plum: Observations: Tree presents in poor form and vigour. Stem to the north is 80% dead, combined with the poor form of the remaining tree, retention is not viable. This tree is located within an Orchard area at the school which is used significantly by the students. Presents - health and safety risk. Recommendations: Fell to 1 metre.T15 - Callery Pear:Observations: This Callery Pear is located on neighbouring land, however, has partially failed and is now leaning & pushing onto the school fence. Health and Safety risk allied with property damage risk.Recommendations: Fell to ground level.T2 - English Elm:Observations: Located within the school Orchard area which is used frequently by staff and pupils for outdoor learning. The tree is presenting in poor form, and nearly completely dead (85% dead). Health and Safety Risk. Recommendations: Fell to ground level. T13 - Horse Chestnut:Observations: Seating area for children and staff located under canopy of tree on west side. Stem on west side; Poor form/Poor condition stem lacking vitality and risk of failure.Recommendations: - Reduce stem of west side by 2 metres apically and 1.5 metres laterally. T8 - English Elm:Observations: Located within close proximity to the schools roof line, this English Elm has poor form/condition and is beginning to encroach on the building. Represents a risk to school property and school attendees.Recommendations: Fell to ground level. T10 - Sycamore: - Prune small stem at ground level.See attached spreadsheet for further works.
