Description
Aspect Arboriculture are instructed to undertake a Tree Risk Management survey on two Beech trees on land at Castlefields, AylesburyThe two trees (T1 Common Beech and T2 Copper Beech) are directly adjacent to one another. They are mutually cohesive and forming one crown. As part of the climbed inspection and ground level VTA an overextended branch to the north-east was identified. The crown to the east overhanging the adjacent neighbours has also previously been reduced. A small wound was identified on the main stem of T1, Common Beech. A Resistograph and Picus test was undertaken. The results from a Picus test and Resistograph do not indicate decay around the area of the wound, and any further recommendation for pruning of the trees is not based on these findingsResultantly, the following remedial works are recommended:T1 Common BeechTo remove over extended limb to north-east from c. 7m to first secondary branch (as photo)To reduce remaining crown by 1-2m max to the east to balance the crownThe proposed tree work will reduce the risk of branch failure over the neighbouring property and maintain sufficient clearance of the adjacent property
