Description
Justification and Impact of Proposed Works:The proposed works aim to improve the natural light reaching our home, which will enhance the living environment within the property. Additionally, the silver birch replacements will contribute to the local landscape, providing a suitable habitat for wildlife and preserving the visual appeal of the area. By selectively raising the crown of the remaining cypress, we hope to retain the tree's benefits while also improving winter sunlight access.Removal of Two Leyland Cypress Trees? Reason for Removal: The two Leyland cypress trees are located near the property and block significant natural light from entering the house, particularly impacting daylight during spring, autumn, and winter months.? Replacement Plan:We intend to replace these trees with two silver birch (Betula pendula) trees. Silver birch trees were selected as they will provide moderate shade during summer but allow light to filter through in the winter months due to their deciduous nature and more open branching structure.Raising the Crown of One Large Leyland Cypress? Reason for Crown Raising:A large Leyland cypress near the property blocks the low sun in spring, autumn, and winter, significantly reducing natural when sunlight is already limited. By raising the crown up to a height of 5m, we aim to improve light access without removing the tree entirely.? Details of Proposed Work:We plan to raise the crown by removing the branches indicated allowing the low winter sunlight to reach the property. Care will be taken to ensure the tree?s health is maintained
