Description
T1 Oak, TPO: Tree to be pruned to give a 3M clearance from the house and to reinstate a clearance of 4.5M in height over the roadside for vehicle and emergency vehicle access. One primary limb growing towards the roadside is to be reduced by up to two meters to suitable growth points. There is a large cavity on the top of this branch, and we would like to reduce the weight on the limb. Primary limb growing over neighbouring (No. 1 Tythe Gardens) driveway to be reduced by up to 2M to suitable growth points to reduce the weight as there is a large horizontal split in the branch.T2 Sycamore, TPO: Tree is showing initial signs of sooty bark disease, which is prevalent in the area. We propose to remove all dead, 'sooty' branches, as well as remove the lowest two live primary limbs back to the main stem, which are growing over an out building. This is to increase the clearance above the building, as well as to proactively minimise any damage caused by sooty bark related branch failure in the future.T3 Sycamore, TPO: We propose this tree is to be felled. This tree has two heavily unbalanced co-dominant stems, one of which is leaning towards No.1A. This stem was recommended by the parish council to be removed in 2006, but this advice was not acted on. Furthermore, the tree appears to have been 'topped' at some stage in the past, and as such is likely to be prone to the structural weaknesses associated with 'topping'. We do not believe that a reduction will solve these long-term issues, and would leave the tree with open cuts making it more vulnerable to infection by cryptostroma which is endemic to this area.
