Description
Ash (T1) - Sever ivy at base. Reduce height by up to 4m to secondary forks to reduce the likely hood of branches falling onto parked cars or the nearby power cable. Reduce remaining crown by up to 3m to reduce likelihood of branches failing. Limb growing north-westerly over pond with King Alfred's Cakes - reduce to sound wood. Westerly limb with 50% of the upper canopy dead - cut back to nearest large historic pruning wound and match neighbouring limb by removing upright dead growth. South Westerly limb - prune to secondary fork. Reduce height of central leader back to third fork due to woodpecker holes/historic pruning wound. Sever ivy and remove from 0m to 1.5m. Reduce south easterly branch growing over car park by up to 3m. A heavier reduction to create knuckles is required to help reduce the risk of branches failing. The regrowth can then be managed every 2-3 years until the trees demise. Remove all dead wood >50mm.Timescale: 1 - 3 monthsHorse Chestnut (T2) - Reduce crown by up to 3m. Crown raise over road to 5.2m in line with highways guidance. Insure flowing lines from the upper crown to the lower canopy.
