Description
G1 - Leyland Cypress x3, Lawson x1, Holly x3Observations; We previously applied for planning consent on behalf of this client due to having to rebuild their Whitchert wall (planning application no: 24/01138/ATC). These works are further to this wall being rebuilt. Upon digging the trenches and beginning to rebuild the wall the client remains very nervous about the health of the remaining trees. Care has been taken in the rebuild of the wall but there was an extensive root system present which has naturally had some disturbance. To provide peace of mind and reduce level of risk of future tree failure our client has requested a crown reduction to the remaining trees. On assessment, we also feel this would be prudent given the close proximity to the road and popular PRoW. Recommendations; Reduce height of trees by 3 metres. Trim around to shape and tidy. T2 - AppleObservations; This apple tree is presenting with internal decay, and producing a lot of deadwood which is dropping. Client keen to retain the tree.Recommendations: Reduce the tree by 1.5 metres to alleviate weight in the crown. This will enable the tree to remain in situ and reduce the risk of failure.
