Description

Stowe School recently had a visit from the fire department to do a trial run of the access route they would need to take to draw water in an emergency. It was extremely difficult for them to manoeuvre the vehicle due to over-hanging branches and encroachment. They have therefore requested that we side-up the trees on Walpole bank to create a 1 metre clearance off the road and lift branches to create a 5 metre clearance for emergency vehicles. We are therefore seeking permission to fell one maple (which is dead), crown-lift 6 trees including 2 yews, 1 beech, 1 maple, 1 sycamore and 1 cherry and to hedge cut the vegetation which has encroached onto the road to a 1 metre clearance.
