Description
The Holm Oak (Quercus ilex) in the rear garden of 27 Rickfords Hill needs reducing in size. It has always been pruned regularly and it is now long overdue due to the building being empty whilst we try to sell it. The neighbours at Friars Court are concerned that it is overhanging their property and it is getting very close to buildings on all sides. We would like to employ a arboriculturist to sensitively prune it back to reduce its size whilst retaining the natural shape that is characteristic of a Holm Oak. This would involve all around crown reduction to retain the shape whilst reducing the volume and providing sufficient clearance for properties. We propose to reduce the diameter of the tree from the current diameter of over 14 metres to approximately 9 metres (which was its diameter about 6 years ago) and decrease the height in proportion to this.
