Description

Sycamore T1 reduction. Works are required to the sole sycamore tree at the property to reduce in size and spread. The tree has not had any pruning or maintenance works undertaken since March 2003 (Planning application 03/00786/ATP refers). The tree dominates the garden and house and is located c.7 metres from the house - the tree is approximately twice the height of the house. The sycamore appears to be healthy; however, the spread and reach of the tree requires remedial work to bring it back to the scale as per the original planning application. There are branches which overhang the adjacent pathway leading to the John Hampden school campus. There is a concern that deadfall or other branches may fall onto this pathway causing injury or damage. Large branches have previously fallen on this pathway and more recently, branches have fallen onto the property, causing minor damage. The branches are also interfering with overhead wires and there is potential for damage in this regard. South Bucks Tree Surgeons Ltd have been commissioned to assess the tree and conduct the works. Their assessment of works is as follows:Crown Reduction - Reducing the height and spread of the tree by up to 2 metres back to suitable growth unions. Crown lift to a height of 7m. this includes removing lowest limb over pathway to school back to source. All other branches will only need secondary growth removing to achieve 7m desired height.
