Application Details
Description
The tree survey documents provided by PJC arboricultural tree surveyors list 67 trees within the TPO area which require works, the document is publically available and includes the recommended actions.. The tree species include - Oak, Chestnut, Hornbeam, Ash, Cherry, Aspen, Willow, Beech - all trees are marked with a pink paint mark and a numbered tag which relates to the survey document. The reason for the works is to keep the public site safe for people to use, only highlighted trees by pathways or next to high value property / road / railway lines will be removed. Natural regeneration will replace any lost trees, many seedlings can already be seen in the woodland and when a tree is felled these will begin to fill the space. Also, as the site is a SSSI it is desirable not to import any non-native species or bring disease onto the site.
