Description

Discharge of Condition No. 11 of LA08/2017/0912/F. Condition No. 11 states: "The development hereby permitted shall not be occupied until the remediation measures as described in Section 6.2 of the WYG Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessment. Gilford Petrol Filing Station. Ref. A099612. V1.1. dated April 2020, have been implemented to the satisfaction of the Council The Council shall be given 2 weeks written notification prior to the commencement of remediation work." Condition No. 13 states: "After completing the remediation works under Conditions 11, 12 and 14; and prior to occupation of the development, a verification report shall be submitted to and agreed in writing with the council. This report shall be completed by competent persons in accordance with the Land Contamination Risk Management (LC:RM) guidance. The verification report shall present all the remediation and monitoring works undertaken and demonstrate the effectiveness of the works in managing all the risks and achieving the remedial objectives." Discharge of Condition No. 14 of LA08/2017/0912/F. Condition No. 14 states: "Evidence shall be presented in the Verification Report that all fuel storage tanks (and associated infra-structure) have either been retained for use and been integrity tested under high pressure or have been fully decommissioned and removed in line with current Guidance for Pollution prevention (GPP 2) and the Pollution Prevention Guidance (PPG27) or have been fully decommissioned, backfilled with concrete and left in-situ, and the quality of surrounding soils and groundwater has been verified. Should contamination be identified during this process, Condition 10 shall apply."
