Description

Construction of a new Water Pumping Station (WPS) to be located within the boundary of Castor Bay Water Treatment Works. It shall be located to the north east corner of the site in a grassed area. It will replace existing aging assets at the site and shall ensure the security of supply of water to Ballydougan Service Reservoir. It will involve a section of buried suction pipeline and buried delivery pipeline. It will also include above ground infrastructure such electrical transformers, surge vessels and partially buried valve chambers. A new access gate will be included onto a private laneway. The Existing access onto the public road will not be altered.
