Application Details
Description
The tree this application relates to is a Chinese Red Birch (Betula albosinensis) approximately 15-20 years old. Over the last few years, it has not been thriving, some branches, particularly secondary branches have died back to varying extents each year and subsequently primary branches have produced bushy secondary branching, which also on occasion die back. There is an area at the base of the trunk which appears to be rotting, it extends approximately 90 cm up the trunk with a maximum width of 10 cm. The circumference of the tree 30 cm above the base is 100 cm). Therefore because of the poor state of the tree I am looking to have it removed, felled and the stump ground out. I am planning to plant a replacement tree in autumn 2026.
