Description

T1 on the vehicular approach to the main car park approximately 60m east of the Visitor Reception building, contain signs of Ash Dieback Disease. In the last twelve months there has been a significant decline in health compared to previous inspections. In the summer of 2025 approximately 45-60cm of tip growth on the majority of the crown has failed to produce leaves. More significant areas of deadwood have developed with several limbs up to 15cm in diameter able to be pulled out of the tree with long reach poles. There is also a well used footpath underneath the tree to provide access to the house from the car park providing significant targets. Although the tree is in the early stages of Ash Dieback disease we would like to fell the tree during 2025 before the main stem becomes brittle and to prevent branches falling during high wind events.
