Application Details
Description
Overview: The Holly tree on our neighbours property which is beside my boundary wall has grown over the boundary, it has lifted the roof and ridge tiles on my out building which is within the curtilage of my grade 2 listed property. The outbuilding is my utility room, I have spoken to the tree preservation officer who advised essential trimming back could be completed to prevent the damage continuing; this has been completed. The tree has also been allowed to grow lots of offshoots which extend approx. 10 feet across the boundary with lots of roots and branch offshoots that have grown through a 10 feet high retaining boundary wall, the wall has been severely damaged now, the root system are now extending into my property by 4 feet depth x 10 ft width. Plan: We would like to remove the overgrowth so the retaining wall can be repaired and not extending into our boundary/property, just leaving the main tree on neighbours property, which also needs a bit more extensive pruning to provide clearance of our property to prevent further damage to roof and building.
