Application Details
Description
T1 Sycamore: has now been removed due to causing extensive damage of ??3000+ for wall repairs to Grade II listed wall. This has now been replaced by a tree further away from the wall. T2 Yew: This tree is 6 inches away from a Grade II listed wall. Following the removal of T1 (Sycamore previously removed due to damage to Grade II listed wall as discussed above) which was adjacent to T2 and shaded it, the Arborist has advised that management of the Yew to reduce the risk of damaging the wall, consisting of a crown reduction consisting of 2 meters. T3 Sycamore: Again, this tree is very close to a Grade II listed wall. We have obtained professional advice from Darren Cartwright, Arborist advising to remove one branch of the Sycamore TP3 to avoid the threat to the adjacent road, and a crown reduction. The Arborist has stated After assessing the tree in the centre of the south facing wall i would consider the south facing limb to be potentially dangerous, the angle in which it has grown and that it leans over the pavement and road is a cause for concern. I would advise reducing this back to the main trunk and a crown reduction by 4/5m and the limb overhanging the road to be fully reduced down to the main trunk. This would still keep a nice shape on the canopy but would reduce the risk of damage. T4 Holly: Standing at over 10 meters high, the Arborist has advised that this tree should be managed and he is recommending a crown reduction of 2-3 meters due to proximity to the wall and road.
