Description

This application relates to a reduction and limb removal off a multi stemmed Silver Birch situated at the rear of 9 Hopping Hill but on the boundary and over hanging number 10. This address is in a line of small terraced properties dating over 300 years old and within a conservation area. The Silver Birch, is located very close to the rear of the line of terraced houses. Leaf mess has on a couple of occasions this year blocked the gutters and the antiquated drainage system. We have enclosed a picture of the drains that run externally in to the property and how the leaf mess causes flooding within the property. Number 9 Hopping Hill has been vacant for several years, Sue Archer from 9 Hopping Hill has made extensive enquiries with land registry and has eventually identified the owner as Simon Rhodes Tel. (078800854609). |The occupants of 9 Hopping Hill and ourselves have spoken with Mr Rhodes who confirms that he supports the application for work to be carried out on the Silver Birch. The proposal is to remove the limb closest to the house in order to try and reduce the mess and prevent more flooding and also carry our a 40% reduction on the overall crown. Photographs attached.
