Description
Application for the removal of, Black Walnut tree, situated in the back garden of the property. My client wishes to apply for the removal of this mature Black Walnut tree for various reasons, mainly being that the tree has now grown too large for its setting, the tree has been regularly pruned previously, however this still leaves the majority of the garden in shade when in leaf - meaning that it is extremely difficult to grow other flora. In particular, newly planted fruit trees have not been able to establish due to this, and with the Black Walnut trees roots secreting chemicals (Juglone), they therefore suppress other flora. There is also concern for the other residents in neighboring properties, numerous and different size branches have been known to fall off due to storm damage, within the property itself and neighboring ones, and the same problem with a lack of natural light has been a concern for local residents. If given the permission, we would dismantle and fell the tree on site, the wood be used for fuel and the remaining branches chipped and used as biomass. The black walnut tree is not a native tree, so if permission were granted a new native tree would be planted in its place, i have recommended an Oak tree, but will be open to suggestions from the local council and the client,
